It’s not just spending money or trying to earn money that causes mental health issues, even trying to resolve incorrect bills from companies can cause stress issues for people, some people hide the bills thinking this will go away, they don’t hassle me if I don’t open it or deal with it, this just compounds the problems for a future date.

It’s important to log all stress triggers surrounding finances, even from the point of not wanting to open letters, to phone calls and who all these people are that you owe money to.

Talking to loved ones is essential, or your closest friends, debt can bring conflict with friends and loved ones, so being brutally honest is important, so they can offer solutions and help.

When people get into debt it’s like trying to walk on water, trusting your partner or loved ones from the start is imperative, not asking them for help can be classed as distrusting and cause long term relationship issues if this makes your partner or loved one feel you can trust them.

Talking and trusting anyone with your debt issues is going to be a difficult time, but it’s the best step to recovery, get them to work with you to resolve it, ask for ideas about talking to debtors and how best to resolve debt issues, it’s better to work as a team rather than against each other and cause personal relationship issues.
